Default 29th BMW ICICLE RIDE 2009 Report

29th BMW ICICLE RIDE 2009 Report.

Well what a night thats what I can say.. for me it was a long one... first 2 hours just getting there involve 2 batchs of dirty fuel, and twice had get to the carbies and drain the suckers.. When I finally got the BP servo where everybody was supposed to me.. I bumped into Bandit12 right away.. lol as he just finished filling his bike up.. and then Craigthomson, and El duderino and his friends, and the rest of the gang, Oldwolf, Kat.. and Jason.. all up 170+ riders turned up for this icicle ride.. pretty good effort. And to our supprise there were heaps of girls on this one.. Brigitte you would have been proud... shame you were not any feeling better.

After deciding its easier too stick with ride leaders than navigate a course... especially at night dont wanna keep looking at a piece of paper.. although.. sometimes had too the odd loo break on the side of the road ok I know there was more than on....Im blaming it on the caffine .

The first leg was to our first soup stop 105km, 2 leg was to a servo 140kms and the 3 leg was to our finally destination for breaky 110km ...

The night gave us actually great weather, was not too cold and quite a comfortable ride, we had the odd sprinkle or two very brief period... I couldn't believe it. We took a lot of back roads, very tight in areas and a little bumpy... I believe the distance was around 355+ km's of road between Whittlesea, Brisbane Ranges, Anakie, Torquay, Bachus Marsh, Melton.

Top job by the BMW organizers this year....
