That was the first group ride I went on too. Found dehidration was a big concern aswell but as long as you keep your water level up you should be fine. Easiest way to tell iff you are hydrated correctly is your wee it should be clear and copious. Dark and small amount means dehydration but you will thirsty before then which is the first sign of dehydration.
