I think I'm still down with the BlueAnt offer. Is it still on?

I'm with noodie pooh (that sounds a bit strange ).... Be very interested in a group buy for the X5, a very flexible unit. Dunno if it'd be any good to talk on while riding (helmet noise) but honestly, I'm not interested in having a phone conversation while riding, but I am interested in stereo wireless connection to a PDA, MP3 device, and emergency phone use without having to waste time ripping the helmet off.The sender unit (for non stereo bluetooth devices) wouldn't be too hard to setup, you could just rubber band the thing to your device and slip it in a pocket. More "permanent" fitting wouldn't be that much harder, I reckon I could setup a system that would allow charging via the car charger supplied, but it would be unique to each bike/device. As for permanently fitting the 'phones to a helmet... dunno, be too risky on splitting the speakers from the strap, and from what I see, you need access to the right unit for control. I know that a similar sized set of wired 'phones fit into my Shoei easily tho.

For those that have used these units , how comfy are they when fitted to the nogggin box. My Arai is super tight around the ears and I spose Pixies new Shoei is to, my only concern is room around the ears .

Dave, the speaker is slim and I don't have a problem with it in my AGV, it has a small cutaway section near the ear anyway. I have the wiring under the padding, and passed the speaker thru the hole in the padding where the strap is. Have trimmed the foam of the helmet near my mouth, so as the mic can sit flush with the helmet. Have not done this on girlfriends helmet or kids, as I move the 2nd unit between these helmets.

I have installed the Blueant interphone into my Shoei XR1000 and Nolan helmets they fir well and the mic is run under the padding with the ear piece it's very comfortable. For those that primarily want them for MP# etc. have a look at the TOM TOM Rider ii GPS it runs with bluetooth as well and from memory can use music storage from your phone, there are heaps of other tricks it has too. Here's the link. TomTom, portable GPS car navigation systems - TomTom RIDER 2nd edition NEW ![]()

Not trying to hijack the thread but I think the mention of stereo and 500m range may be referring too is this one. Bit more expensive but sounds impressive. Anybody know of them? Cardo Systems | Bluetooth | Motorcycle Communications There looks like a mono version and a little cheaper here: Scala Rider Motorcycle Headsets Cheers

I am about to evaluate a new BT system, STEREO , 500m B-B etc AND "sender unit" for non BT devices, and up to 3 device pairing. Claimed 8 hour USAGE battery life ( which has always been my bugbear with BT ). I Import/distribute the StarCom1 wired system . Single curly cord can bring to each helmet :- Intercom, Stereo music, 2 way radio for B-B, phone, GPS ( or 2 music sources and 2 phones on the Digital ) and runs from bike power so it don't go flat. More are asking for BT but I have not taken it on as all the feedback I have had is poor battery life and pairing only to only 1 other BT device. I will report back after a couple of months of use. Prices are looking similar to the interphone.
