BlueAnt Interphone Bluetooth Bike Helmet Unit Bulk Buy

As seen on review on SVDU this unit retails for $249.00. I can purchase it for $169 plus GST & shipping. If we get a group buy happening 10 + units I believe I can do better on the deal. I have been quoted $175 including gst from a retail outlet. I hope to get price to $149 for say 20 or 30 units. I can do this as I own a company and can deal direct.

Hi steve,

I looked at this afew weeks ago. I'm in the market for one, but I also heard that a 2 speaker unit is on it's way in the coming months. Would be better because I plan to push ipod music through it as well.

I think they are placing the order at the end of this week, it's via a group buy at http://www.svdownunder.com I am with you on this, but they are saying that we might not see them for awhile.
The other thing you could do is change the earphone lead for a 3.5mm socket and buy some good headphone like the ER6.

According to the report I posted above, the bike 2 bike comms have an increased range now. 500m up from 150m. Is this true for these units being ordered?

Jens the unit they are ordering will only have the 150m range, don't think the other unit is out yet.

Thank you for contacting Blueant. The Interphone is one of our newest product that has only just been released. There are no changes or updates to this product in the near future.

Therefore in answering your questions;

1. range of up to 500m? No

2. A two speaker version is due to come out in the coming months? No

3. Would I be able to pair the unit with the X5 voice enabled audio streamer unit?
No you cannot stream music at all with the Interphone, only used for voice.

I am still undecided on these units, they end up costing $380 is you want two, thinking seriously about the Autocom unit as I only want rider to pillion at this stage.

Would be good if we could find someone who's good with electrics, then the BlueAnt X5 unit would be perfect, as it is very flexible in features. Can hook up phone, GPS, iPod etc. Would just need someone to hard install it into the helmet and place the sender unit somewhere in the bike. Just an idea I have been toying with.

Not overly keen on the autocom as it is a wired unit and not wireless. How much are these units though?
