Default Leo vince exhaust pipes

I am looking for more noise for my amazingly fantastic Piaggio MP3 400. I have read some articles on Leo Vince exhaust systems for scooters (mostly overseas).

Does anyone have any knowledge to share or better still, a distributor or retailer (preferably in NSW).

Thank you in anticipation.

Hi Kingsley,

Motorcycle warehouse at Auburn stock Leo Vince and they should be able to order something for you if it's available.

They are expensive but very well made, have a good reputation and sound pretty damn good on most bikes.

In addition to the cost of the system, it is generally recommended to have the bike tuned on a dyno for best results. You should see if this applies to your bike as well and consider that into your budget - if you have one...

Keep us posted

Just a side note, leo cans have a reputation for being that bit extra loud.. great i know but loud is sometimes a pain in the arse too..Can't comment bout scooters but i KNOW these pipes on sports bikes raise HELL!! .. unless it was for a race bike i would steer clear.. two cents.

Steve (taz) has leo vince on his Gixxer and they sound HOT
I definately would NOT say too loud as they are no where near as loud as my VFR with the staintune, BUT saying that, they have a very nice note to them and they do sound better than my Gixxer with the yoshi's on them.

But I am sure once he sees this thread he will come and post. He is out washing the bikes for now

ok Here I am

from what I have researched on my particular bike the Leo Vince SBK cans give the best scope for performance tuning, short of the expensive 4 into 1 modification, if your specifically chasing top end power.

I have always run without baffles, I have owned several different types of sportsbikes all with aftermarket exhausts, these particular cans are in no way excessively noisy, exactly the oppposite. I have had people tell me that its one of the nicest sounding gixxers they have heard.

Not being biased of course but when Tracey was riding mine on our recent trackday, it was the first time I have actually heard my bike running in anger from pit lane and it does sound sweeeeeeet

So I say performance and noise wise the Leo's are probably the best exhausts I have had. Only fault I have found with them is they are difficult to keep clean and are easily scratched.

Being European they have an extensive range for scooter exhausts, much more than the American based brands.

Being in NSW I would have thought any dealer should be able to get them for you. I managed to get them in Tassie.

Yeh thats all really cool, i agree on the noise..sbk sounds! but......... the bike in question is a scooter.. maybe a quick troll through a hot scooter(oh yes they are out there) forums might come up with some great options.. depends on how far one wants to research this.. maybe just go buy one and rev the bugger!! P.S while we are on best exhausts calls, mine is Akrapovic.. just a work of art.. glorious! expensive.. mmmmmmmmmmm.

little bit confused on what you are trying to say now Tongie
that he shouldnt get Leo's because he has a scooter??
the original post was asking for more noise
you said Leo's are too noisy and shouldnt be considered unless it was for a race bike.
I stated they were nowhere near as loud as my Staintune on the VFR800, a sports tourer.
Steve also posted his experience with the Leo's
his is not a race bike.

I should also clarify that although Steves Leo's sound better than my yoshi's
my yoshi's are louder, the Leo's have a much nicer note to it.
