Me an the beast went for our 1st ride tonite as its the 1st time I have been home since Saturday nite and it hasnt been pouring down with rain, no I dont just mean rain I mean horizontal stuff almost snow.

I am no wimp but I have forever to get to know the new beast so we stayed dry until tonite.

Any how where was I , a short 45 minute ride around the Peninsula . Flinders, Red Hill Main Ridge , Browns Road . Found me getting used to riding with a part missing ( for the unititated no clutch lever) its a strange feeling to begin with but once used to it what a dream to ride.
Initially the bike tipped into corners a little quick until I discovered the rear suspension was set on Pillion setting which probably made the rear end a little high and the front steep.
A flick of the lever and all was sweet as .

Bumpy Red Hill /Main ridge were all as comfy as a big firm couch , I reckon 1000k days would be a breeze .

The cold damp roads were taken very easily until we get a little better aquainted but the tight rippled 30K corners in flinders Windy's didnt phase us tonite.
Grunt + in any gear you like , shift down to overtake ,,, why ? just wind on the juice. Only to 4500 RPM ( by the book) until weekend. Its enough to loose your brief in top and then some.

It was interesting to ride the VFR and FJ back to back , I am not sorry to move onto the FJ but I will miss the VFR exhaust note more than anything else .
That V Four sound is brilliant. Pipes on the Fj ?,, well I dunno will see how funds pan out, it is a little quiet.

Cant wait to get Pixie on board for a spin .

More to follow
