Nice one, I suggest that you would struggle to take a bad one of the planes that show up at grand prix - having said that I much prefer yours!

My digital is a first generation D70 athough it now has the upgraded firmware (really resolved some ISO and white balance issues)
The plane was taken with the Nikkor 70 - 300, Like the shot - hate the lens, too slow and not particularly robust in the way it feels.

The others were shot using the nikkor DX18-70 lens - better (IMHO) because it feels like a lens, and is slightly faster.

The other backs (all film) I have in the quiver are:
Nikon FM2
Nikon 601
Olympus OM10
1962 Retinette "A" Rangefinder

Back I will be using this year (on loan)
Medium format Mamiya RB

Various lenses - nothing too exotic apart from a Nikkor 500mm prime f:8 mirror back. Nice, sure... but slow and fragile - feels good on the camera though

Made a resolution this year to shoot as much film as I can over the next couple of years - mostly black and white, as I can develop and print it myself - with the occasional crack at colour.

Digital is here to stay, film is in trouble - and while I have access to a fully plumbed/featured darkroom AND fully lit studio, I'm going to shoot as much as I can. Most of the work is likely to be crap and/or self indulgent, but, lets face it... right now the chemicals and paper AND film are relatively inexpensive so why not!

the photo in this post is what happens when a 500mm prime film lens is attached to a D70 - I dig the affect - it looks like someone has hit the background with an old ball and peen hammer.

The more I shoot the more abstract I am becoming... interesting (for me at least) as to what comes out of the darkroom over the next couple of years!

Amazing quality of shots in this thread - hard to pick a favourite... all verry nice! Who says bikers are apes!

Matt nice shot of that church. I will be over your way in couple weeks for the weekend. If I get time I would love to troll round Bendigo, & that church is top of the list.
