Got back into hobby with entry level digital SLR about 2 years ago.
Still a lot to relearn.

ps I have approx 7.5k negs filed, I may dig some out.

Here's one took in Feb last year.
Few ppl in town thought I was totaly crazy watching this storm come over the lake. Yep gotta admit you could feel the electricity in the air that night & oh yeah I'm gonna brag this was also 1st pic submitted into the local rag

Absolutely stunning Simone. There's something magical and beautiful about watching a storm move through

Thanks all.

No flash, just the overhead light that was near by.
As for watching it. damn should have been it, when u could actaully feel the electricity in the air you know its time to leave. Kyle's girlfriend burnt her feet on the way home running across the supermarket car park. We didn't know @ the time but it got struck by lighting only minutes before.

As for higher res version, will have to go looking for the disc. I know its here somewhere saw it other day.

Nice, always something ethereal about Lightning - not that you can explain that to my dog... sends him nuts.

What did you shoot that with Charmed? The finepix set for panorama? or did you crop back a wide shot?

great colour in the strike too.

Had the camera sitting on bin, with shutter release cable on. Did top & bottom crop
to remove the grass patches from foot traffic & just to balance out the image.

Not sure how much of the EXIF data you pulled but settings were
F/2.8
4 sec exposure
ISO 200

I'm not one who will ps the crap out of a shot where it is no longer the original shot.
Slight tweek here & there & very rarely will I clone something out.
