I have shamelessly stolen this idea from another forum. Sometimes I have something small to say (ok,ok, I hear you laughing from here) and a whole thread seems overdone.
So I thought I would start a thread where you can come into and just have a quick vent or say. It can be to let some steam off when a car cut you off, or you want to share your joy at the glorious day, or you want to release your frustration at your bike. Anything really, except underhanded coded messages to other members ![]() So I will kick it off. I had to deliver a package today, and since the weather was so good, I could not resist taking the bike out. (Purely for research purposes, to see if my noggin can handle the helmet on yet.) So I gear up, wheel the bike out, lock up the shop and what do you know.......... it will not start. A small kicking over which sounds so sick. An emergency call to the Knight in shinning armour, who comes home to assist. Tried jump starting, still no response. SO I suggest shaking the bike from side to side. After many attempts, it revs into life. Woo Hoo ![]() So take a leaf from my book, do not leave it standing for long period of times. It had not started since Black Saturday (7th Feb) so I am putting this down to foul fuel. Anyway, off I go, revving it at every chance, filled up with fresh fuel and did not have a problem after that. But the one thing I did notice, was just how much I missed riding. It was a glorious day out there and it really made my heart soar being able to get out, even for a short time. ![]() End result, I have a headache and sore neck. A tad early onto the bike and I am going to pay for it now, but it was well worth it ![]() Now...... what is on your mind?

I'll jump in...
I'm really looking forward to the Sunday ride - mainly because I will "know" a bunch of the riders. I hope my Vespa doesn't lower the tone too much ![]() Surely you won't be able to ride on Sunday, Brig? (You shouldn't, you know.) |

Well my main gripe is....
When sitting on the Fireblade at the lights waiting for them to turn green, a vespa scooter pulls up next too me and it sounds louder then my bike.... like WTF..... least I can pull bigger wheelies... I so need an exhaust upgrade.

My turn-
BAD RUN warning, its a long ramble Hurt my back at work early 08. Had lotz of trouble with work, and jumping from Dr to Dr. Finally ended up on work cover. Dad got sick september 08 (well had been sick earlier, but we didnt talk much until september so he didnt tell me). Dad got really sick between sept & dec and I did quite a few weekend trips to NSW to see him. I would leave home after work fri. come back sunday ( covering over 1700 kms on your own in a weekend is quite tiring) Anyway, in between all this was having a shit time at work "F'Witt manager"(not complying with med certs etc). My family has pretty much always been split and had issues. And until I started visiting dad, my younger 2 brothers wern't talking to him. But I managed to convince them to go with me to see him. So atleast they would visit inbetween me being able to get to nsw. Dad hadn't gotten to see all of us kids on Xmas for probably 14 or so yrs. So I had organised for me to go to NSW. Stay at mums, then get my brothers and go to dads for Xmas. I knew it was going to be his last, and wanted to give him his last Xmas with his kids. Well I was about 6 hrs into my trip to NSW when he died. It was 2 days before xmas .Anyway, enough on that. With everything that had been going on, simon thought it would be a good excuse to go on holiday to townsville. See one of his mates that moved back up there a few yrs ago, and give me a break away from life at the same time. Well some of it was great, Until i got the FLU ![]() Came back monday night. We had left the car at andrews parking. Picked up the car hit the road. Got gas at nar nar servo, get to bout warragul, and simon smells burning rubber. yay, a flat tyre at 1 am. Well thats ok, I had a new spare. Simon jacks the car up, changes the tyre ( using mobiles as torches, theyre so handy aren't they?) Get home, check on all the animals, head to bed. Had a good sleep in, then decided to take the bikes for a blocky. I took my 250 out, checked tyre pressure etc, then came home to get the ZX6R to go run some errands. We got the ZX6R the night b4 we left for QLD. Got it out of the shed n it stalls... then i flattened the battery trying to start it. I forgot to turn the bloody fuel on didn't I. Got the leads out n jump started her. Off we went. I put a script in at the chemist, and simon wanted to go to hungry jacks. I wanted to practise riding my new toy on the roads in some traffic. So off we went, after a few laps of traralgon i headed down to hungries, pulled into the car park in preperation to back it into a car park, turned to sharply to slowly and dropped it *double *It didnt have a mark on it till then. I was so upset. I gave up, went home, put the bike in the shed and went to the veg garden to cool off and calm down, it needed some tlc after our trip. Well half our later i go to turn off the tap, and theres only one dog. I'd left the bloody gate open and the pup got out. Luckilly he didnt go far. Ok thats my ramble sorry to those who just wasted a mall portion of their lives reading it
