ROAD SAFETY (VEHICLES) REGULATIONS 2009
I am writing to inform you of some changes being made to requirements under the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 2009. These changes will affect testing and repair of vehicles, written off vehicle obligations, and the use of unregistered vehicles. As a Licenced Vehicle Tester you may be affected by these changes, and may wish to make a submission to VicRoads during the upcoming public consultation period on the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 2009. The public consultation process commences for the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 2009 on 4 July 2009 and will close on 3 August 2009. All feedback must be submitted in writing or by email within this period. You can view or download the associated documents and provide feedback on the Regulations online via the VicRoads website www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/submissions More Info here: http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/Home/RulesStandardsRegulations/ReviewOfVictoriasRoadSafetyRegulations/RoadSafetyVehiclesRegulations.htm |

Victoads do this from time to time, even survey riders, but they NEVER actually implement anything to make it safer for us...and that's the way it's always been...even the simplest measures, like lowering of guard rails by a few inches, never happens...Victards literally refuse to acknowledge motorcycles exist...an ubundance of studies and statistics on the ineffectiveness of wire rope barriers...not only do they make a mess of us, but they consistently fail to prevent crossover traffic...heaps of new technology and cheaper and safer barriers readilly available...and yet they're putting up wire rope today in a suburb near you.
to be fair, there are some people within their ranks that have good intentions, but this is a severely underfunded department...staff turnover is ridiculously high because it's so badly mismanaged and so drastically understaffed that no-one copes for long. but yeah, they don't care about us so **** em like Michael would have said "all i wanna say is that they don't really care about us ! owww Last edited by Tarzan; 4-Jul-09 at 8:23 AM.
