I did this one last year with my other loopy friends Well they kept me warm, with cuddles.

Whoever is attending this one, I definately recommend warm gear and wet weather gear if it rains.. ya dont wanna be erm freezing ya butt off.. I will point out that the last one was like over 450km.. so be prepared.
You should also bring torch and pen/pencil.

Well I am crazy enough too do this again... It's worth doing if you've never done one before, just too say you have done it..

Sounds awesome, ENJOY freezing your butt off!

For obvious reasons I'm unable to join any rides and I don't think I'd do this one anyway - time would suit seen how I don't sleep good at night. Who knows maybe next year ??? Just noticed level 3, so definately won't be me next year!

I have been guaranteed that without any word of a lie, that there will be a "slow" group on the ride which will be lead by a ride captain.

Brett who is the BMW Ride Captain has formed two slow groups who will strictly adhere to the speed limit. In years gone by, many participants who do not have 30+ years of riding experience, have felt intimidated by the speeds that some of those BMW riders can achieve in the middle of the night, freezing cold and slippery roads. So he has threatened the ride leaders of the slow group to within an inch of their lives, that two groups would cater for the not so experienced riders. (and I am not talking learners here either!!)

So feel comfortable in knowing that there will be two groups that will ride at a pace, in conditions that are challenging enough that most riders can handle.

I did complete the ride last year and I believe I was the only girl who rode, to receive the Icicle badge, which you only recieve if you complete the ride.

Bandit 12 and I will certainly be up for the challenge this year as we have been tantilised snippets of where the ride is going to go.

Put me down as a maybe at this stage...just got to see what's happening with work, and study. I've heard of these rides, so it'd be great to finally get along to one. If I can make it then I'm definitely going in the slower group though.

Looks like I'd best start riding the Cagiva in the wet and get a feel for how it behaves, oh n buy some even warmer riding gear!
